The Role
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking two enthusiastic and reliable Domestic Assistants to join our Facilities Team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. High standards of cleanliness are essential in supporting excellent patient care and infection prevention across the hospital.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).

Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain wards, departments and public areas to agreed standards.
Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
Safely use cleaning equipment and materials.
Manage and dispose of waste in line with local procedures.
Replenish consumables as required.
Work as part of a team to deliver an excellent facilities service.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job
A positive and flexible approach to work.
Positive communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules.
Commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
