OVERVIEW: Reportingto the Director of Human Resource, the Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for providing guidance onHR policies, employee relations, performance management, and workplace issueswhile fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work setting.
KEYRESPONSIBILITIES: Primary contact for handling employee inquiries andworkplace concerns while maintaining accurate documentation.
Investigate employee complaints, grievances andworkplace conflicts in a fair, timely and confidential manner.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and companypolicies.
Support managers in Performance Improvement Plans(PIPs).
Monitor and ensure employee performance reviews arescheduled and in compliance with organization policies and guidelines.
Coordinate organizations performance review processwith supervisors.
Guide employees with performance review process andcareer development.
Create employee job descriptions and job postings.




Stay up to date with current recruiting methods.
Must have extensive knowledge of recruitmentstrategies and assist with all aspects of recruitment including offboardingwhen needed.
Promote employee engagement and retentioninitiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion ofpost-secondary education with a focus in Human Resources Management or arelated discipline is required.
2- 3 years relatedexperience.
Skilled in conflictresolution and respectful communication.
Familiar with HR databases,applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems.
Knowledge of EmploymentStandards, Labour Law, Workplace Safety and Health and Human Rights.
Strong interpersonalskills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a highattention to detail.
Ability to handleconfidential information with discretion.
Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills.
Strong proficiency inMicrosoft Office, word processing (MS Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), E-mail(Outlook) and Internet.
Knowledge of the Childand Family Services (CFS) sector and legislation an asset but notmandatory.
Demonstrate knowledgeand/or understanding of Indigenous perspectives, First Nations culture andtraditional philosophies.
Must have a valid class 5driver’s license and access to a vehicle and acceptable Driver’s Abstractare a condition of employment.
Must have clear CriminalRecord (vulnerable Sector Check), Child and Adult Abuse Registry Check,and Prior contact Check.
