Shape the future of library services as a Collections Librarian at Greater Sudbury Public Library. Develop and evaluate diverse collections, including physical, digital, and non-traditional formats.
This permanent position, located at the Main Public Library, is responsible for leading the development of collections that enhance community access to knowledge. Utilize best practices to refine physical and digital lending resources while collaborating with various stakeholders. Contribute to high-quality public services aligned with GSPL's mission and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee development of physical and digital collections
• Evaluate community needs and maintain branch collections
• Liaise with stakeholders on special collections
• Monitor literary trends and popular titles
• Provide training in library resource usage
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science
• 2.5 to 5 years of library experience
• Knowledge of library services and operations
• Solid problem-solving and research skills
• Valid Class G driver’s license required
