About Mississauga United FC
Mississauga United FC is a growing youth soccer club committed to providing a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment for players in Mississauga and the surrounding area.
As our competitive program expands, we are seeking qualified and motivated coaches to lead youth rep teams. This opportunity is suited to coaches who are passionate about long-term player development and want to contribute to an ambitious and collaborative soccer club.
The Position
The Competitive Youth Soccer Coach will plan and deliver structured training sessions, lead a team during league and tournament competition, and support the technical, tactical, physical, and personal development of each player.
Coaches will work with the club’s technical leadership and other team staff to provide players and families with a consistent, professional, and positive competitive soccer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver structured, age-appropriate training sessions
Coach the team during league games, tournaments, exhibition games, and other competitions
Develop players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, decision-making, confidence, and game awareness
Create a positive, disciplined, competitive, inclusive, and player-centred team environment
Evaluate player development and provide clear, constructive feedback
Communicate professionally with players, parents, team staff, and club leadership
Attend coach meetings, player evaluations, tryouts, and club development activities
Follow Mississauga United FC, Ontario Soccer, league, and safeguarding policies
Promote accountability, teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, and a strong training culture
Required Qualifications
Minimum two years of experience coaching competitive youth soccer in a rep club, academy, or competitive league environment
Current Canada Soccer C Licence or an equivalent recognized soccer coaching qualification
Experience planning and delivering training sessions for competitive youth players
Strong understanding of long-term player development and age-appropriate coaching methods
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Reliable availability for evening training sessions and weekend games
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Willing and able to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check and all required safeguarding and screening requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Canada Soccer B Licence or higher
Experience coaching in Ontario competitive youth soccer leagues
Experience working with high-performance or advanced youth players
First Aid and CPR certification
Competitive playing experience at the academy, university, college, semi-professional, or professional level
Schedule, Location, and Travel
This is a part-time, on-site position based in Mississauga, Ontario. Coaches must be able to reliably attend scheduled evening practices and weekend games at locations throughout Mississauga.
Candidates do not need to live in Mississauga, but they must have reliable transportation or another dependable means of travelling to practices, games, tournaments, and club activities. Some travel within the GTA and surrounding areas may be required.
