The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, ensuring sound financial management, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and the effective use of organizational resources. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role provides leadership to the finance team while supporting budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and decision-making. The Finance Manager collaborates with leaders across the organization to strengthen financial processes, support long‑term sustainability, and ensure the integrity of all financial operations.
Hybrid-Remote with once weekly in office requirements (Winnipeg)
Must reside in Manitoba
Qualifications and Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Must be enrolled in, and actively working towards Chartered Skilled Accountant (CPA) designation
Experience Minimum five (5) years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience in the non-profit sector is strongly preferred.
Experience working with government funding agreements, grants, and restricted funding is considered an asset.
Experience within the disability services, healthcare,



or social services sector is considered an asset.
Experience with accounting Quick Books Online
Qualifications & Requirements Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Child and Adult Abuse Registry Check (Manitoba).
Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for occasional travel.
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Knowledge & Skills Thorough knowledge of Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations (ASNPO).
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial information and communicate recommendations clearly.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with accounting Quick Books Online
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment.
Ability to prioritize competing demands while meeting deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
