Contribute to the Queen's University Indigenous Student Centre as a Departmental Assistant. This role involves administrative support, financial management, and event coordination within the Indigenous community.

Supporting the Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre, the Departmental Assistant plays a vital role in fostering Indigenous priorities at Queen's University. You will focus on organizational tasks, manage financial transactions, and assist with special projects while connecting with Indigenous students and stakeholders. Your duties will also include communicating effectively with stakeholders and supporting events that enhance the Indigenous experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative and organizational support to the Centre
• Manage financial transactions and bookkeeping activities




• Draft correspondence and coordinate departmental meetings
• Assist in planning and coordinating various events
• Maintain scheduling for conference rooms and classrooms

Requirements:
• Indigenous ancestry and connection with an Indigenous community
• Proven experience in administrative support roles
• Solid organizational and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping
• Ability to work collaboratively within Indigenous networks
