Reporting to the Manager of Accounting & Financial Reporting, you will leverage your technical expertise in accounting and contribute significantly to financial statement preparation and audits. Your collaboration with departments will advance financial leadership for various initiatives and enhance internal controls. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare year-end financial statements per Public Sector Accounting Board
• Support annual external audit process, including working papers




• Execute month-end and year-end close processes
• Review complex account reconciliations with division collaboration
• Lead training efforts for staff on accounting processes

Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ finance experience, municipal preferred
• Chartered Skilled Accountant (CPA) designation required
• Knowledge of municipal financial reporting and planning
• Familiarity with Corporate IT systems for transaction reporting
