You will report to the Manager of Accounting & Financial Reporting. The role necessitates collaboration across departments and offers leadership for financial initiatives. Key responsibilities include overseeing year-end financial statements preparation and ensuring adherence to internal controls and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support year-end financial statement preparation per PSAB guidelines
• Prepare annual Financial Information Returns (FIR)
• Assist in external audit process and working papers




• Conduct month-end and year-end financial close processes
• Resolve complex account discrepancies timely

Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum three years’ finance experience in a Municipal environment
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
• Knowledge of municipal finance and audit standards
• Flexibility for remote work and after-hours as needed
