Become a Human Resources Advisor with PHS Community Services, providing HR guidance in a complex unionized workplace. Collaborate with management and CUPE Local 5536 to enhance workplace relations.
This full-time role reports to the Director of Human Resources & Labour Relations. With 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, the Advisor will support employee performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations. In addition, you will help navigate collective agreements and maintain compliance with employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise managers on performance management and workplace issues
• Lead workplace investigations and document findings
• Administer collective agreements and support grievance processes
• Promote respectful workplace practices and employee engagement
• Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive HR matters
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• 3-5 years HR experience, especially in labour relations
• Knowledge of BC Human Rights Code and Employment Standards Act
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications
