Community Support Worker

Location: Vancouver / Richmond
Start Date: As soon as possible
Term/Status: Casual / On-Call
Hourly Wage: $25.95 - $29.76 plus 10.6% in lieu of benefits

What You’ll Do

- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging program workplace
- Work alongside team members to support participants with activities of daily living
- Participate in the implementation and monitoring of individualized goal plans
- Lead engaging, person‑centered programs tailored to diverse abilities
- Provide services through on‑site, community, and outreach‑based activities

Requirements / Education / Experience

- Degree or Diploma in an area directly related to supporting people with developmental disabilities,



such as Social Sciences, Human Services, Therapeutic Recreation, or Education
- 1 – 2 years of work experience with persons with disabilities
- Must be able to safely support swim/water activities in community pools – includes entry into chlorinated water
- Minimum availability of 2 shifts per week
- Criminal record clearance
- Medical clearance
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Class 5 driver’s license and use of a vehicle for work, OR a Class 4 unrestricted driver’s license
- Driver’s abstract showing a good driving record
- Non‑violent crisis intervention certification
- Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
- Basic computer literacy
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Requires physical strength, good balance, mobility, and endurance for recreational activities
- Position involves assisting clients with personal care needs

Training is provided for client personal care and non‑violent crisis intervention certification.

This position requires union membership.
