The Role: Maple Leaf Foods at 15350 Old Simcoe Rd., Port Perry, ONis accepting applications for entry-level General Cleaner position within our Prepared Meats Plant which specializes in baked good products such as quiche, meat pies, shepherds pies, dips, and breakfast bites.

Reason for vacancy: Existing Headcount.

Duties may include: Chemical awareness Dismantling, cleaning by prescribed methods and reassembling of production equipment General cleaning of all plant areas as required Assisting production operation in any way as required Maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility Cross-training opportunities in other departments/job functions Adhere to Product, Food Safety Quality Assurance, and Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.

Other tasks as assigned.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday Rotating shifts (days/afternoons) Approximate shift times are: 7:30am -4:00pm 4:00pm 12:30am Occasional overtimeopportunities What we are looking for: Reliable and dependable, able to be at work every day, ontime.

Ability to interact and share information with Team Members at all levels.

Actively participate in their work group.

Desire to learn.

Able to work in a fast paced and repetitive task environment.

Physically fit and able to lift, push and/or pull weight of up to 23kg (50lbs).

Be willing to adhere to all hygienic and food safety requirements in the plant.

Please note completion of aHigh School Diploma is not required to be successful in this position.
