Senior Technical Project Manager to lead an AI-Enabled Operational Resiliency project within our Tier1 Banking client''s T&O; PMO Duration: 12 Months Location: Toronto (Hybrid, 2x/week) Overview: Our financial-services client is seeking two Senior Technical Project Managers to lead separate workstreams within a major Digital Core initiative focused on AI-enabled operational resiliency.

Following a successful proof of concept, the program is moving into formal delivery and will improve the speed, consistency and control of production-readiness activities by reducing manual processes through intelligent automation.

The PMs will work under an overall Program Manager and coordinate across application development, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, architecture, operations and governance teams.

The environment is technically detailed and fast-moving, so the successful candidates must combine disciplined project controls with enough technical fluency to follow complex discussions, surface dependencies and translate delivery issues into clear business terms.

Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end delivery of an assigned workstream, from detailed planning and mobilization through implementation, operational readiness and transition.

Build and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, resource plans, dependencies and delivery forecasts.

Own RAID management, driving timely resolution of risks, issues, actions and decisions while escalating material concerns with clear options and recommendations.

Coordinate cross-functional delivery across development, infrastructure,



architecture, cloud, cybersecurity, operations, risk and third-party teams.

Transition a proven concept into a scalable production capability, aligning business outcomes, technical deliverables and operational controls.

The scope may include deployment processes, vulnerability and code scanning, monitoring readiness, control validation and support handover.

Operate within formal Waterfall governance while coordinating development teams that may execute work through sprints and Agile delivery tools.

Facilitate working sessions, governance forums and executive updates, translating technical discussions into clear delivery impacts, decisions and concise status reporting.

Partner closely with the Program Manager and the second workstream PM to manage interdependencies, sequencing, shared resources and integrated milestones.

Establish credibility quickly with highly engaged technical stakeholders and maintain accountability in a high-expectation delivery environment.

Must Haves: 8+ years of progressive technology project management experience, including ownership of large, complex enterprise initiatives.

Demonstrated success delivering application development,



digital transformation or technology modernization programs involving multiple technical teams and workstreams.

Strong command of project planning, scheduling, scope control, RAID management, dependency management, financial tracking and executive reporting.

Proven Waterfall delivery experience, with the ability to coordinate teams working in sprint-based or hybrid delivery models.

Sufficient technical fluency across application development, cloud, infrastructure, automation, Dev

Ops or production operations to engage credibly with technical specialists.

Experience leading delivery in a large, matrixed and highly governed enterprise setting; banking or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.

Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, including the ability to resolve competing priorities, manage escalations and translate technical complexity for leadership audiences. A structured, accountable and transparent delivery style, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and drive decisions.

Nice to have: Delivery exposure to AI, generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation or AI-enabled enterprise capabilities.
