Grade12andbeatleast19years ofage ECECertificationor ECEAssistants actively intraining for ECE or Responsible Adult Certificate for School Age program Basic First

Aidtrainingandcertification Trainingandexperienceinchildrens programs,recreation,teaching,or inarelated field Valid work visa, permanent residency, or citizenship status Goodknowledgeandunderstandingof age-appropriate programming and developmental needs of children Goodknowledgeandawareness ofBCs ELF andemergentcurriculum Experienceworkingwithadiversepopulationofchildrenandtheirfamilies Initiative,creativity,andenjoychange Goodcommunicationskills Additional skills and experiences may include: Child care experience working in an inclusive child care setting Infant Toddler and/or Special Needs certification & license (or working towards it).

Second Language Terms of Employment: Salary: $22.15 22.95 per hour + 11.2% of salary in lieu of vacation and statutory holidays.

In addition, you may be eligible for a $6 per hour Provincial ECE Wage Enhancement for ECEs (holding ECE Basic, ECE IT, ECE SN, or ECE IT/SN) Casual / On-Call (up to 37.5 hours per week) Starting: As soon as possible This position is open to all applicants and is unionized with BCGEU
