Role and Responsibilities Act as a valuable resource to the management team at all locations (including subsidiaries) by providing expertise, guidance, and coaching in all areas of human resources, including employee relations, performance management, attendance management, disability management, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, pay equity, legislative compliance, etc.
Responsible for full cycle recruitment at all locations (including subsidiaries) including developing and implementing practices and procedures that attract andretainthe best candidates, ensuring a fair and transparent process, and supporting hiring managers tofill vacancies ina timelyand effective manager.
Support the VPof Human Resources in implementing and managing initiatives that support the desired organizational culture and organizational change.
Nurture a positive,creativeand collaborative work environment.
Work closely with line managers at all locations toidentifyand resolve HR issues as they arise while promoting positive employee/management relations in carrying out day-to-day HR services and support.
Identifyand address issues/trendsthat may affect the overall health of theorganizationincluding morale, turnover, absenteeism, efficiency, and productivity.
Support theVP of Human Resourcesin developing and managing effective compensation plans and initiatives.
Develop, recommend, and implement employee engagement strategies and initiatives, on employment laws and emerging trends.
Conducttimelyemployee investigations and prepare reports includingfindingand recommendations.
Research and recommend updates to existing, and the creation of new HR policies and procedures in keeping with HR best practices.
Identifytraining needs andimplement, including providing staff training asappropriate (i.e., new hire orientation) in support of effective on-boarding, employee and management training and development and to meet compliance requirements.
Create and provide reports, including KPI metrics asrequired.

Experience University degree or related business experience Minimum6yearspreviousexperience ina related industry CHRP/CHRL designationrequiredorworking towards Strong working knowledge and application of employment legislation and HR best practices Broad consultative HR experience,ideally within a multi-unit/location business Experience working in a unionized environment and providing collective agreement interpretation, grievances, and arbitrations strongly preferred Experience designing and delivering large scale cross-functional transformation programs Key Competencies Proven track record of demonstrated achievement ,expertise, and client-focused delivery Robust communication,presentation and story telling skills (oral and written) with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to senior audiences Strong analytical skills, business acumen and consulting advisory capability Ability to constructively challengewhile building/maintainingstrong relationships Comfortable and able to navigate and adaptthrough ambiguity,complexityand continuous change Ability to understand organizational issues and challenges and influence stakeholders Strong teamplayer, highly collaborative, acts as one team and speaks up for the good of the company Strategic mindset and experience within corporate environment Analytical mindset and experience Strong digital fluency
