Varicent ICM Tech Lead Location: Toronto, ON - Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent (FTE) Experience: 8 12 Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Varicent ICM Tech Lead with 8 12 years of overall experience and strong hands-on expertise in Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) / IBM Sales Performance Management (SPM) .

The Tech Lead will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, integration, optimization, and production support of Varicent solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Varicent, SQL, data modeling, ETL, compensation systems, and data integration , along with the ability to lead technical teams and work closely with business stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills 8 12 years of overall IT experience.

Robust hands-on experience with Varicent ICM / IBM Sales Performance Management (SPM) .

Robust understanding of Incentive Compensation Management and compensation processes.

Experience designing and implementing Varicent data models, calculations, plans, and reports .

Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts .

Experience with data modeling and ETL processes .

Experience integrating Varicent with CRM, ERP, Finance, and other enterprise data sources .

Strong understanding of data integration, data transformation, and data validation.

Experience with system performance optimization and calculation cycle optimization.

Strong experience with application development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and production support.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of Varicent ICM / IBM SPM solutions .

Translate business compensation plans and requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Design and implement Varicent data models, calculations, compensation rules, and reports .





Lead Varicent development activities and ensure adherence to technical standards and best practices.

Design and manage integrations between Varicent and CRM, ERP, Finance, HR, and other enterprise systems .

Develop and optimize data transformation and ETL processes.

Analyze and optimize Varicent calculation cycles, application performance, and system scalability .

Troubleshoot complex application, calculation, integration, and production issues.

Lead testing, deployment, release management, and production support activities.

Participate in technical design reviews and provide recommendations for solution improvements.

Conduct code/configuration reviews and ensure development quality and best practices.

Mentor junior and senior team members and provide technical guidance.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, QA teams, Data teams, and business stakeholders .

Support system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and support documentation.

Leadership & Stakeholder Responsibilities Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Varicent ICM / IBM SPM .

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand compensation requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Lead technical discussions, design sessions, and solution reviews.

Provide technical direction and mentorship to development team members.

Communicate technical risks, issues, dependencies, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-scale enterprise compensation management implementations.

Experience working with CRM/ERP systems and enterprise data platforms .

Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Experience with cloud-based enterprise applications and integrations.

Strong documentation and presentation skills.
