Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: No experience (will train) Work setting Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio Tasks Cut and trim hair according to client''s instructions or preferences Shampoo customers'' hair Shave and trim beards and mustaches Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages Hair styling techniques Blow drying Spiking Security and safety Criminal record check Work conditions and physical capabilities Repetitive tasks Attention to detail Hand-eye co-ordination Combination of sitting, standing,
walking Support for newcomers and refugees Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work setting for newcomers and/or refugees Support for youths Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth Support for Indigenous people Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 35 hours per week
