Vortex Strategy & Recruitment is seeking a Accounting File Preparer for one of its clients, a rapidly growing accounting firm.

This person will support the professional teams (CPAs, auditors, tax specialists) by acting as a file preparer for clients based in Vaudreuil.

This position is intended for a detail-oriented, autonomous, and efficient individual who is familiar with the realities of working in an accounting firm, without necessarily holding a CPA designation.

This role is ideal for someone in the process of obtaining their CPA designation who wishes to join an accounting firm now in order to gain hands-on technical experience that will directly support their professional development.

Your Role and Responsibilities Prepare accounting files ahead of engagements (year-end files, compilation, review, or audit engagements) Perform bookkeeping and accounting adjustments Assist in preparing preliminary financial statements Support CPAs in the preparation of audit or assurance files File, organize, and structure client records (paper and digital)



Work closely with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met Apply internal procedures and maintain a high level of quality and compliance Requirements Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an accounting firm (mandatory) Education in accounting (Bachelors degree, DEC, AEC, or equivalent) CPA designation not required, but in progress is considered an asset Valuable knowledge of accounting principles Comfortable with accounting software (e.g., Case

Ware, Taxprep, Acomba, Sage, Quick
