Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office. ____________________ Location: Langley, BC (On-site) Reports to: ATS Engineering Manager Function: Engineering The Opportunity Thomson Power Systems, a division of Regal Rexnord, designs and manufactures critical power solutions forgeneratorsand utility power applications.

We are seeking an

Electrical Design Engineerto join our ATS Engineering team in Langley, BC.

This role is ideal for an engineer with experience incontrol panels, switchgear, power distribution, generator interface systems, or industrial automationwho wants to work on real-world power continuity products.

You will design and supportautomatic transfer switches (ATS), control panels, and related power system solutionsused in critical infrastructure and industrial applications.

This position offers hands-on involvement across the full engineering lifecycle, includingrequirementsdefinition, electrical design, controls integration, production support, product improvement, and certification/testing support.

Key Responsibilities Design and releaseelectrical control panels and power systemsfor automatic transfer switches, generator interface applications, and related products.

Develop andmaintainschematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, bills of materials, and production-ready design packages.

Review and interpretcustomer specifications, single-line diagrams, datasheets, and application requirements.

Develop, configure, and troubleshootcontrol logicfor ATS and associated control systems, includingPLC- or controller-based solutions.

Supportnew productdevelopmentfrom conceptthrough prototype, verification, release, and launch support.

Own engineering deliverables includingrequirements, design outputs, documentation, and engineering change control.

Work closely withmanufacturing, production, sales, and field service teamsto resolve technical issues and improve product execution.

Supporttesting, troubleshooting,



and root cause analysisrelated to electrical and control system performance during development, production, and field support.

Participate inproduct improvement initiativesfocused on standardization, reliability, manufacturability, and cost reduction.

SupportUL/CSA certification activities, including technical documentation, design reviews, and test coordination.

Contribute to system-level design decisions includinginterlocks, sequencing, control philosophy, and interface requirements.

Perform other engineering-related duties asrequired.

Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in

Electrical Engineeringor equivalent relevant experience. 37 yearsof experience in electrical design related to one or more of the following: control panels switchgear motor control centers (MCCs) industrial controls low-voltage power distribution equipment automatic transfer switches or generator-related systems Strong experience developingelectrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.

Working knowledge oflow-voltage power and control systems.

Experience withPLC programming, controller configuration, or electricalcontrolstroubleshooting.

Proficiencywith

AutoCAD;AutoCAD Electricalexperience is strongly preferred.

Ability to work effectively acrossengineering, manufacturing, and service environments.

Robust written and verbal communication skills in English.

Eligible to work in Canada without company-sponsored authorization.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with

Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), generator controls, backup power systems, or critical power applications.

Familiarity withUL1008, UL891, CSA requirements, or related certification documentation.

Experience supportinglab testing,



product verification, or commissioning/troubleshooting.

Familiarity withERP systemssuch as SAP.

Exposure todesign for manufacturing, product standardization, or engineering change processes.

Experience with

Visual Factoryis an asset.
