Captain Server.

As a Captain Server with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience.

Your engaging and anticipatory service will inspire the team and ensure the success of our banquet functions.

What you will be doing: Reporting to the

Banquet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional,friendlyand engaging service Follow departmental policies,proceduresand service standards Assistguestsregardingmenu items in an informative and helpful way Take an active role with the training and development of recent and existing staff Project a pleasant and professional image toguestsat all times Build andmaintaina high levelof customer service and staff morale through outlet promotions and staff incentive programs Assistmanagement team to develop action plans to improve outletperformance Ensure that the outlet isoperatingwithin the confines of the ALCB regulations Havefull knowledgeof all menu items, garnishes,contentsand preparation methods Responsiblefor preparing and serving cocktails and other beverageson a daily basis Deliver and present food items toguesttables Busand re-set tables Adhere to the hotels vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage Helpleadthe F&B; Outlet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed Report and handleguestconcerns and react quickly and professionally in absence of manager Attend regularly scheduled departmental and divisional meetings Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Food & Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies,practicesand promotions Support employees while ensuring service standards are maintained Walk through all FOH spaces at EOD to ensure propertear down and cleaning procedures Ensureappropriate staffinglevels, and make informed decisions to cut staff,



with the approval of manger on duty Assign sections based on staffing levels /business needs Perform andcheckopening/ closing duties checklist and follow up with colleagues accordingly Delegate andassign side duties and verify completion prior to sending staff home Approve discounts and promos asperin house policies Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions.

Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued andrespected Other duties asassigned Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Minimum 1years serving experience required (must include atleast 6 months a la carte service) Previousleadership experiencerequired Valid Alberta drivers licenserequired Excellent knowledge of wine, cocktails and beerrequired Pro Serve certificationrequired Banquets experience preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal andproblem solvingabilities Highlyresponsible& reliable Ability to work well under pressure in afast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision Ability to focus attention onguestneeds,remainingcalm and courteous at all times Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
