Ensure staff members are properly trained and retrained according to training guides and procedures

Develop employees through coaching, goal-setting conducting performance reviews; assist supervisors with mentorship activities

Initiate and implement programs and procedures required to ensure DC safety and cleanliness in all zones

Initiate and manage controls with regards to process flow in the Outbound Department; analyze outbound volumes to all locations to ensure efficient loading and picking frequency to maximize efficiency

Ensure all equipment is in good order and ensure employees perform pre-shift checks

Maintain labour budget and cost per unit; plan and schedule labour on a daily basis and assist in annual labour budget process

Manage the store shipping schedule including planning for seasonal changes; communicate and liaise with stores for any and all changes to the schedule that are required

Prepare reports, analyze data and make recommendations for improving DC Outbound Reporting

Promote employee involvement in employee relations and safety committees

Train and develop supervisors, identifying and mentoring high potential candidates





Ensure all loads are picked and shipped accurately and damage-free within set time schedules

Maintain Outbound accuracy at 97% minimum and conduct reviews with inventory team

Ensure compliance with all Brick Group policies and procedures

Achieve departmental goals through effective staff management

High school diploma or equivalent; post secondary education an asset

Minimum 4 years management experience in a diverse warehouse environment, preferably retail; Significant experience using a large Warehouse Management System (WMS) in an inventory controlled setting

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Working knowledge of materials handling equipment and safe material handling techniques

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
