Agricorp is looking for a Senior Test Analyst for a
12 month contract
to join the Enabling Services team within the Information Technology division. The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end system testing of recurring Annual Business Cycle activities as well as testing new system enhancements to support Agricorp delivered programs. These systems include our in-house written Customer Accounting Services (Financial system) and two web applications, our customer self-serve Online Acreage Reporting and Online Yield Reporting systems.The ideal candidate will have minimum of three years of experience in system testing or quality assurance, including planning, writing and executing test plans and test cases for full test coverage, along with demonstrated experience writing queries against Oracle databases for data validations.The Role
The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on all phases of automated and/or manual system testing of changes, from system integration testing, through to production deployment. This includes positive testing, regression testing, non-functional testing, reliability testing, usability testing, efficient maintenance and portability requirements. In this role, you will:Review and understand, in detail, the system related expectations.Create detailed test plans using static analysis and testing of user requirements, user stories, system requirements definition, and functional or logical specifications to ensure the adherence of system functionality to expectations.Use prior knowledge and experience to consider the scope of testing through all phases of the project or initiativeCollaborate with team members to facilitate testing methodically and efficientlyConduct end-to-end testing within and across integrated applications and technical platformsImprove test methods to help decrease manual effort and timelinesRecommend industry best practices, testing tools and technology to help improve existing processes and proceduresUse knowledge and experience to anticipate areas of risk in systems and prioritize testing to find important defects earlyConduct tests, evaluate actual results and raise variance reports as requiredAssist test analysts in resolving problems and issues of moderate complexityProvide senior technical assistance and support to test analystsCoach and share knowledge with test analysts and other staff, both within the department and across the divisionJob Status

Minimum 3 years’ experience in system testing or quality assurance, including planning, writing and executing test plans and test cases3-5 years testing experience preferred within the following platforms: .Net web applications, financial systems, MS Excellent Plains DynamicsPost-secondary education in an information technology-related field or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of testing methodologies and the software testlife cycle, including estimation and defining tests, testplanning, requirement analysis, test cases, defect managementand testmonitoringExperience compiling and analyzing data and creating reports and recommendations for managementExperience in estimating work effort, scheduling work and reporting progress on a regular basisWorking or business knowledge of MS GP Dynamics, financial system services, testing for multiple device usages and AODA requirements would be an assetISTQB certification or equivalent testing certifications would be an assetWorking experience with JIRA tracking software would be an assetAgile testing experience would be an assetClient focus
