We are seeking a skilled Java API Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in developing REST APIs and microservices using Java and the Spring ecosystem. This role requires collaboration with business and architecture teams to translate requirements into API solutions while ensuring security, performance, and scalability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced Java concepts
- 6-8 years of experience in REST API development
- Proficiency in Java (8), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
- Experience with JSON/XML handling and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with API security (OAuth2, JWT)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployments
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop REST APIs & microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring ecosystem
- Design and implement API endpoints, business logic, and data integrations
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production issue resolution
- Contribute to API documentation and lifecycle management
