The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in ensuring automotive service excellence, driving service sales, maximizing gross profit, and delivering unparalleled customer satisfaction. In this role, you will be key to creating lasting impressions with customers, coordinating repair schedules, sourcing parts, and ensuring seamless communication between customers and technical teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, actively listen to vehicle concerns, and provide expert repair and maintenance recommendations.
- Service Coordination: Schedule appointments, write accurate repair orders, and establish clear "promise times" for service completion.
- Parts Sourcing & Estimates: Sourcing accurate parts through aftermarket vendors and supplier networks to provide complete cost estimates for customer labor and parts, securing necessary approvals prior to repairs.
- Workflow & Technician Collaboration: Work alongside technicians to clarify job details, monitor repair progress throughout the day, and ensure smooth operational flow across the shop.
- Transparent Communication: Maintain regular updates with customers regarding repair progress, estimate changes, or delay adjustments, and conduct post-service follow-ups.
- Quality & Compliance: Inspect vehicles for safety and additional needed work, assist with third-party warranty claims processing, and ensure strict adherence to local regulatory standards regarding hazardous materials.
- Department Standards: Professional appearance, prompt issue resolution, and accurate processing of all shop paperwork in a clean, organized work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of automotive service experience, with prior experience in pre-owned or dealership environments preferred; sales and customer service background is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in parts identification and third-party vendor parts sourcing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Solid understanding of general vehicle systems, diagnostic processes, and maintenance schedules.
- Familiarity with Automotive Shop Management Systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Professional personal appearance and customer-first attitude.
