We are looking to add a Senior Mechanical Designer/Engineer to the team whose focus will be on new product development, developing from bottom-up.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and development of innovative new products from the bottom-up, specifically agricultural and mobile equipment.
- Conducting thorough research and analysis to evaluate feasibility, performance, and cost-effectiveness of design concepts.
- Creating detailed design documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and test plans, to facilitate smooth implementation in production.
- Configure products for sales orders and produce associated drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams during product development and ensuring adherence to product specifications and project timelines.
- Review engineering changes and process through proper change management (ECR’s, ECO’s, ECN’s)
- Understand and support in the development of company design standards and procedures.
- Peer review models, drawings and BOMs.
- Provide technical advice and guide to junior engineers.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skill to identify and solve design issues, ensuring optimal functionality and performance of products with three-dimensional conceptual ability.
- Continuous learning and keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements to contribute towards enhancing design practices and processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 7 years of experience on designing and developing complex mechanical products.




- Strong experience in new product development, preferably in agricultural, mobile, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or related industries.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD softwares such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Vault.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including welding, fabrication, machining, and assembly.
- Experience creating production-ready drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and welding standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Effective communicator throughout multiple levels of an organization (Customers, Sales, Purchasing, etc.).
- Experienced with presenting designs to stakeholders.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is preferred.
- Registered as a P.Eng or ASCT or equivalent professional designation is preferred.
