Teacher

to join the team at Bellerose Composite High School.

The

GOALS program supports students' individual needs and maximizes their personal

strengths. School staff work in partnership with students and their families to

ensure that each student has individualized programming that leads to personal

growth. Inclusive-minded programming focuses on students being engaged and

connected to their school and community. Within the GOALS setting, each student

is encouraged to build the skill sets they will need to be prepared for a

successful transition into adult life. We focus on three foundational pillars,

including academics (literacy and numeracy), engagement and wellness to ensure

each students program is individualized to their learning needs and identified

personal interests.

Qualifications:





- A valid Alberta Teaching

Certificate

- Excellent interpersonal

skills and works well as a team player

- Effective organization

and classroom management skills

- Ability to create a

classroom workplace where students feel safe and supported

- Strong collaboration and

teamwork skills

- Experience working in

inclusive education programming and with multidisciplinary teams to support

student learning and engagement

- Experience differentiating

curriculum as well as an understanding of scaffolding curriculum outcomes for

complex learners

- Understanding of augmentative communication
