Job Overview

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Sessional Instructors for our Bachelor in Hospitality Management program for the Fall 2026 term (September 9 - December 23). This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate future hospitality professionals through engaging classroom instruction, innovative instructional design, and effective use of learning management systems. The ideal candidates will bring academic expertise and industry experience to any of the following courses:

- Capstone Project
- Leadership and Strategic Management

- Supply Chain Management
- Other High-Level Courses in the Hospitality field.

Duties

- Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate discussions in hospitality management topics aligned with program objectives
- Develop and update course materials using instructional design best practices to enhance student learning experiences
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize course content, assessments, and communication
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and participation, providing timely feedback
- Incorporate research findings and industry trends into course content to ensure relevance and rigor




- Support students’ academic success by offering guidance and mentorship both in-class and through online platforms
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and participation in compliance with institutional policies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS FOR SESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR:

- A Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field (PhD preferred for CAPSTONE and other high-level courses).
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the post-secondary level, preferably in hospitality or business management programs (2-4 years).
- Relevant Canadian industry experience in hospitality, tourism, or management (2 -3 years).
- Solid understanding of research methods, applied management principles, and current trends in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

ADDITIONAL ASSETS:

- For CAPSTONE: Experience supervising student capstone or research projects.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Moodle).
- Commitment to inclusive, engaging, and experiential teaching practices.

Compensation: $6,000–$6,500 per course, per 15-week term, for 3–4 teaching hours plus 2 office hours per week.
