Job Summary

Join our team as a Team Member – Maintenance and play an significant role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of our restaurant. This hands-on position focuses primarily on detailed cleaning and maintenance of restaurant equipment, kitchen areas, and the building.

The role includes deep cleaning commercial kitchen equipment such as fryers, broilers, kitchen hoods, and surrounding areas, along with maintaining floors, walls, washrooms, dining areas, storage areas, and other parts of the restaurant.

This is a part-time position of approximately 10–15 hours per week, with most maintenance work scheduled during overnight hours between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Duties

- Perform detailed and deep cleaning of commercial kitchen equipment, including fryers, broilers, hoods, and surrounding areas
- Clean underneath, behind, and around kitchen equipment and other hard-to-reach areas
- Complete scheduled equipment cleaning and preventative cleaning tasks
- Clean and maintain kitchen, back-of-house, storage, and food preparation areas
- Maintain floors, walls, doors, windows, washrooms, and dining areas
- Complete general building cleaning and maintenance duties
- Maintain exterior areas of the restaurant when required
- Identify and report equipment, plumbing, building, or other maintenance concerns
- Safely use appropriate cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment
- Follow all food safety, health and safety,



and workplace cleaning procedures
- Assist with other restaurant duties when required

Experience

- Previous experience in restaurant maintenance, commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or kitchen equipment cleaning is an asset
- Experience cleaning commercial fryers, broilers, and kitchen hoods is an asset
- Comfortable working around commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks independently
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment, tools, and approved cleaning chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules and procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical cleaning duties for extended periods
- Must be comfortable working overnight maintenance shifts
