General Overview:
The Logistics Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods, from procurement to delivery. This involves coordinating transportation to and from Growers, Vendors, and Customers to optimize the supply chain; with focus on maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Develop and implement a daily load plan for deliveries and pickups.
- Coordinate and administer scheduling of appointments with customers and vendors.
- Oversee the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments via air, truck and container.
- Ensure compliance with all border paperwork and customs clearance requirements.
- Negotiate competitive rates and service agreements with carriers and brokers.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of storage and shipping temperature requirements for all products.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement continuous improvements in tracking and reporting systems.
- Establish a comprehensive service and preventative maintenance schedule.
- Manage the logistical coordination of airport pickups, and all scheduled delivery times.
- Implement a system for continuous cost analysis of driver and carrier costs and performance to ensure efficiency.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in shipping and logistics management.
- Proficient in inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of customs procedures and import-export duties.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Must have a Valid Ontario driver’s license and willingness to travel locally or regionally.
