Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute roofing projects.
- Install, repair, and replace roofing materials using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching, and applying necessary materials for optimal adhesion.
- Operate heavy machinery such as cranes or lifts safely to transport materials and access difficult areas.
- Perform concrete forming, masonry work, or carpentry tasks as needed to support roofing structures.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout each phase of installation to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on estimating project costs and materials needed for efficient workflow.
- Apply caulking, waterproofing,



and sealing techniques to protect roofs from weather elements.
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged roofing components after storms or other incidents.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to all safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a journeyman roofer or in a similar construction role with a strong understanding of roofing systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation relevant to roofing tasks.
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles and carpentry skills is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, welding, electrical work, plumbing, flooring installation, tile laying, restoration, and construction painting is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including climbing ladders or scaffolding in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with other tradespeople and project managers.
