About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a 310S Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join a busy and well-established automotive service centre in Scarborough, Ontario.

What You'll Do

- Perform complete vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, HVAC, and drivability concerns using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and manufacturer-recommended services.
- Prepare accurate repair estimates and detailed vehicle inspection reports.
- Complete and review repair orders with Service Advisors.
- Clearly explain repair procedures and recommended maintenance when required.
- Communicate effectively with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, Parts Department, and fellow technicians.
- Identify additional maintenance or repair opportunities to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.




- Road test vehicles before and after repairs when required.
- Ensure unsafe vehicle conditions are reported to both management and customers.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and digital repair records.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with all Health & Safety regulations.
- Stay current with evolving automotive technology, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques.
- Deliver exceptional workmanship while providing an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician Licence.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience repairing domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
- Knowledge of modern automotive systems including electrical, drivability, engine performance, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electronic systems.
- Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment and repair information systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced shop environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Results-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Professional, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, twist, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in a Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using COSTAR software is an asset.
- Experience with digital inspections and dealership/shop management systems.




- Strong understanding of current automotive technology and advanced diagnostics.
