Specific Position Details

Start Date: August 26, 2026

End Date: June 29, 2027

Location: Edgerton Public School – Edgerton, Alberta

Assignment: ELA 7/8, Social 7/8, Health 7/8, ELA 9, Health 9, CTF 7- 9, CALM (Gr. 10), CTS (Gr. 10)

Contract Type: Part-Time Temporary

FTE: 1.0 FTE for Semester 1, reducing to 0.875 FTE for Semester 2

Specific Position Duties

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Training and/or experience teaching Division III English Language Arts and Social Studies would be considered an asset.
- Experience supporting Career and Technology Foundations (CTF), Career and Life Management (CALM), or Career and Technology Studies (CTS) programming would be considered an asset

Qualifications and General Duties

The successful candidate will possess:

- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- A student-centered philosophy committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment
- Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning,



including formative and summative assessment practices
- Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology to support communication, collaboration, and student learning
- The ability to foster positive relationships and create a strong sense of belonging for students
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- A demonstrated commitment to professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
- A willingness to contribute to extracurricular opportunities and the broader school community would be considered an asset
