**Build, Program, Troubleshoot, Lead**

We're seeking an experienced **Industrial Electrician** to join our maintenance team in a high-volume veneer manufacturing facility.

This is more than a maintenance role.

You'll be a key technical resource responsible for troubleshooting, programming, and improving the control systems that keep our operation running efficiently.

If you enjoy working with **Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, industrial automation, and electrical system design** , while also mentoring apprentices and driving continuous improvement projects, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a stable and supportive organization.

**What You'll Do**

**Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting**

+ Maintain, repair, and replace industrial electrical equipment, including motors, drives, sensors, and control components.
+ Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation issues to minimize production downtime.
+ Safely work on industrial systems up to 600V while adhering to all electrical and safety standards.
+ Design, modify, and improve electrical circuits to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
+ Install, configure, and troubleshoot VFDs and related control equipment.

**PLC Programming & Automation**

+ Spend a significant portion of your time programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing production control systems.
+ Support and maintain Allen-Bradley PLC platforms and associated automation equipment.
+ Troubleshoot PLC logic, HMI interfaces, communications networks, and control systems.
+ Implement control system improvements that increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve safety.
+ Support FactoryTalk View and other industrial automation technologies.

**Projects & Continuous Improvement**

+ Lead and participate in electrical upgrades, equipment installations, and capital projects.
+ Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to plan and execute system improvements.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of electrical changes, maintenance activities, and control system updates.
+ Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, process efficiency, and operational performance.

**Leadership & Mentorship**

+ Provide coaching, guidance, and hands-on training to apprentice electricians.
+ Support skill development within the maintenance team and help build technical capability across the organization.
+ Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in all aspects of work.

**What We're Looking For**

**Required Qualifications**

✔ Red Seal Industrial Electrician certification (or equivalent Journeyperson qualification)

✔ 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

✔ Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience

✔ Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems

✔ Experience configuring and troubleshooting VFDs and industrial control systems





✔ Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex electrical and automation issues

✔ Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems up to 600V

✔ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

✔ Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekend support when required

**Preferred Qualifications**

⭐ Experience in sawmill, veneer, forestry, wood products, or heavy industrial manufacturing

⭐ Experience with FactoryTalk View, HMI, or SCADA systems

⭐ Knowledge of industrial networking and Ethernet/IP communications

⭐ Strong documentation and project management abilities

⭐ Mechanical aptitude and experience working alongside maintenance teams

⭐ Previous mentoring or leadership experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $54.17 - $54.17/hr.
