**Job Title: CNC Machinist**

**_Location: Delta, BC_**

**_Shift: Morning Shift, Monday - Friday.

6:00am-2:30pm, can be adaptable with start time of 6am, 7am, or 8am._**

**Job Description**

As a CNC Machinist, you will set up and operate machine tools such as CNC, Manual Lathes, and Milling machines to fabricate components to specified tolerances and dimensions.

Your role involves interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches, as well as using a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

**Work Environment**

This position operates in a day shift environment from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours ranging from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The role is based out of the Delta facility with occasional travel to the Ferndale location as needed.

The position allows for a 30-minute unpaid break and a 15-minute paid break.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce components with precision.
+ Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches.
+ Utilize machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively.
+ Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and follow written procedures.
+ Multitask and prioritize workload efficiently.
+ Maintain strong attention to detail and ensure good documentation and organization.
+ Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
+ Lift items weighing over 50 pounds as necessary.

**Essential Skills**

+ 4+ years of machining experience.
+ Knowledge in both CNC and Manual setups.
+ Proficiency with Haas and Fanuc controls.
+ Experience with lathe, mill, CNC, and Mastercam.
+ Basic computer skills including email composition and general PC usage.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Programming skills, particularly with Mastercam, would be an asset.
+ Ability to read and create drawings to explain issues.
+ Self-starter with the confidence to make judgment calls.
+ Capable of working with minimal supervision.
+ Proficient in reading, writing, and explaining instructions in a professional manner.
