**Refrigeration Mechanic (313A/313D & G2)**

**About the Role**

We're looking for an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.

You'll work across institutional, healthcare, manufacturing, and commercial facilities, handling planned maintenance, repairs, installations, and emergency service calls.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including chillers.
+ Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
+ Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
+ Work with BAS, DDC controls, VFDs, and related systems.
+ Respond to emergency service calls and provide effective repair solutions.
+ Complete service documentation and maintain safety standards.
+ Mentor apprentices and support team development.
+ Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

**Qualifications**

+ 5+ years of refrigeration/HVAC service experience.
+ Valid 313A or 313D Refrigeration License.
+ Valid G2 Gas Technician License.
+ Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills in refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and control systems.
+ Experience with commercial and industrial equipment, including chillers.
+ Knowledge of BAS/DDC controls and VFDs.
+ Ability to work independently and deliver excellent customer service.
+ Eligible for Reliability Security Clearance.

**Nice to Have**

+ Experience in healthcare, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
+ Working at Heights, Lift Training, or other safety certifications.
+ Experience with industrial refrigeration systems.
+ Previous apprentice mentoring experience.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toronto, ON.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $64.00/hr.
