**Job Title: Controls Technician**
**Job Description**
The Controls Technician installs, troubleshoots, and maintains automated control systems, with a strong focus on PLCs, robotics, and industrial electrical equipment.
This role ensures reliable operation of production machinery by performing diagnostics, minor programming edits, and repairs across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, identifying faults and implementing effective corrective actions.
+ Perform minor PLC program edits to support process improvements, equipment changes, and operational needs.
+ Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems, including identifying root causes of faults and performing minor program or parameter adjustments.
+ Conduct electrical troubleshooting on industrial equipment, including control panels, sensors, motors, and power distribution components.
+ Read and interpret electrical and control schematics to support troubleshooting, installation, and repair activities.
+ Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on production and automation equipment.
+ Carry out preventive maintenance on automation and control systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
+ Support installation, commissioning, and modification of automated machinery and control systems.
+ Document maintenance activities, repairs, and changes to control programs and equipment configurations.
+ Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, including diagnosing faults and implementing minor program edits.
+ Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment.
+ Experience working with robotics, including robotic troubleshooting and minor programming or configuration edits.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
+ Hands-on experience with mechanical systems in an industrial or automation setting.
+ Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems used in industrial equipment.
+ Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial or automated machinery.
+ Background as a maintenance technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
+ Understanding of industrial automation concepts and control systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with industrial programming related to PLCs or robotics.
+ Familiarity with industrial repair practices and root cause analysis.
+ Exposure to a variety of industrial equipment and automated production lines.
+ Ability to work from technical documentation, including schematics and equipment manuals.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $42.00/hr.
