**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**

**Job Description**

The Mechanical Assembler will be part of a team responsible for assembling enclosures for data centres and oil and gas units.

This role requires the use of blueprints to install mechanical components and hardware efficiently.

The position involves using hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices to complete tasks.

**Responsibilities**

+ Install flux bars and bus bars into electrical cabinets.
+ Install parts and equipment in electrical boxes and components.
+ Assemble metal buildings according to instructions.

**Essential Skills**

+ Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Familiarity with mechanical assembly and electrical components.
+ 1+ years of experience working on a production floor in a manufacturing setting.
+ Competence in reading a tape measure (both standard and metric).
+ Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions year-round.
+ Robust safety awareness.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience with forklift, overhead crane, and picker truck is considered an asset.

**Work Environment**

+ Work in a modern main shop with a new building.
+ The primary shift is from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch.
+ Be open to afternoon shifts from Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, which include a $2 premium.
+ The role includes 4 to 8 weeks of training on days.
+ Required PPE includes CSA-approved green triangle boots, safety glasses, and gloves.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
