**Job Title: Production Worker (Afternoon Shift)** **Job Description**
This role supports daily manufacturing operations by operating production equipment, assembling door components, feeding production lines, and performing quality checks in an industrial door manufacturing facility.

You will work on a fast-paced production line, handle repetitive physical tasks, and contribute to a team-focused environment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate and monitor strapline and related production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Load raw materials and door components onto production lines to maintain continuous workflow.
+ Assemble, strap, package, and prepare finished products for shipment according to specifications.
+ Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
+ Identify defects, equipment issues, and process abnormalities and promptly report them to supervisors.
+ Maintain production targets while consistently adhering to established quality standards.
+ Complete all required production, quality, and safety documentation accurately and on time.
+ Assist with changeovers and setup adjustments to support efficient line transitions.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment within the scope of training and capability.
+ Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements and personal protective equipment standards.
+ Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
+ Work collaboratively with team leads, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and fellow production employees.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing safety, quality, and productivity.

**Essential Skills**

+ Minimum 6+ months of experience in general labor, construction, or production environments performing repetitive tasks.
+ Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and general production work.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
+ At least 6+ months of experience using a tape measure accurately.
+ Experience working with hand tools and power tools in a production or construction setting.
+ Ability to perform packaging, labelling, loading, and basic machine operation tasks.
+ Reliable transportation to consistently attend the scheduled shift.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Willingness to follow standard operating procedures, safety rules, and PPE requirements.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Equipment knowledge and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
+ Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery.
+ Willingness to learn new processes and skills.
+ Team player attitude with a collaborative and supportive approach.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in an industrial manufacturing facility that produces interior and bifold doors.

The environment is loud, dusty, and fast-paced, with repetitive physical work involving lifting, bending, twisting, and standing throughout the shift.

You will work in a team-oriented production setting alongside approximately 60 assemblers and a total workforce of 80–100 employees.

Personal protective equipment is required, including safety shoes, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed.

The dress code includes safety-toe footwear, ear plugs, safety glasses, and safety vests, which are provided.

Watches, bracelets, rings, long necklaces, or dangling earrings should not be worn in the production area for safety reasons; medic-alert necklaces are allowed if tucked under the shirt, and medic-alert bracelet tags may be worn on a necklace.

Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied up or tucked under a hat, and hats are acceptable if they do not create a safety hazard.

Loose clothing that could be caught in machinery should not be worn, and full-length pants are required in the production area; shorts are not allowed.

The role is on the second shift, Monday to Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. (10-hour shifts), with overtime strongly encouraged on alternating Fridays for approximately 5–6 hours.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chilliwack, BC.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Chilliwack,BC.
