When the snow comes down and the highways need to stay open, someone has to make sure the plow trucks turn over on the first try. That someone is you.

Our client is a proud Canadian company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial Road and Bridge Maintenance Contractor. They're looking for a Mechanical Superintendent to lead the shop in Lively, ON and keep their fleet ready for whatever the season throws at it.

This role is for you if:

- $70,000 - $80,000 annually, with actual salary and benefits based on your experience

What You'll Do

- Run a preventative maintenance program that actually prevents. Build on established processes with a strong inspection program that catches mechanical issues before they become failures
- Set the priorities. Establish mechanical priorities, timeframes, and cost estimates the whole division can plan around.
- Manage a fleet with real variety. Plow trucks, graders, excavators, light equipment
- Lead and grow your people. Get the most out of a skilled mechanical team while developing the next generation of talent behind them.
- Set the bar.



Communicate clear expectations on performance and quality based on industry standards and timelines.
- Get ahead of the seasons. Coordinate equipment readiness programs so no one's caught scrambling.

What You Bring

- Strong mechanical background with up-to-date technical knowledge and skills
- Experience running or supporting preventative maintenance programs
- Proven supervisory skills and excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
- Computer literacy
- Working understanding of Provincial Commercial Regulatory rules
- Explicit knowledge of Provincial OH&S;
- An Ontario Driver's Licence (or the ability to obtain one) and a safe driving record
