We are Sarah Harris and Nicole Fakaua, Directors of Relate & Restore Counselling, an emerging and growing private counselling practice with locations in Kelowna and Vernon, BC.

Alongside our roles as Registered Clinical Counsellors and supervisors, we are also friends, mothers, and lifelong learners. As the need for effective mental health care continues to grow, our vision is to create a collaborative community of culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapists who are supported to achieve their professional goals and flourish in private practice.

Guided by attachment science, we believe that strong therapeutic relationships begin with environments where clinicians feel connected, valued, and supported.

Why We Created Relate & Restore

Like many therapists, we were drawn to private practice because it offered the freedom to work in ways that reflected our values and build meaningful therapeutic relationships. We also quickly discovered that building a successful practice requires more than excellent clinical work; it requires a professional environment, visibility within the community, and meaningful connections with like-minded colleagues.

Relate & Restore was created because we believed private practice could feel different.

Rather than simply offering office rental or a traditional percentage-split arrangement, we've established a collaborative practice model that combines professional independence with shared opportunities for growth.

We work alongside independent practitioners by providing beautiful counselling spaces, shared marketing opportunities, referral opportunities, peer connection, and a supportive professional environment designed to help you build a sustainable private practice.

Our model allows you to maintain autonomy over your own business while benefiting from the credibility, visibility, and community that come from being part of an established and growing counselling practice.

A Different Fixed-Fee Model

Traditional percentage-split models often mean that as your practice becomes more successful, you continue to pay an increasing portion of your income.

We wanted a model that rewards growth instead.





Our fixed-fee structure provides transparency and predictability while allowing you to retain more of your earnings as your caseload grows. Your fee remains consistent, while your earning potential increases as you build your own practice.

Because the fixed fee includes access to counselling office space, this model is best suited for clinicians who are able to offer in-person sessions alongside virtual counselling.

Who It May Not Suit

This model may not be the best fit if you:

- Prefer to operate completely independently without connection to a broader clinical community.
- Are not interested in building your own caseload or private practice.
- Are not within reliable commuting distance of our Kelowna or Vernon offices.

Full-Time & Part-Time Pathways

We offer both full-time and part-time options to support clinicians at different stages of their private practice journey.

Whether you are transitioning into private practice, expanding an existing caseload, or looking for a professional community to grow alongside, our model provides flexibility while allowing you to maintain ownership and autonomy over your own business.
