Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at a base mine operation. This position involves working on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotational schedule with 6 hours travel in and 6 hours travel out, with full camp accommodations provided during your work rotation.

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a variety of heavy equipment used in an industrial mining environment. You will work as part of a dedicated team committed to keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment including haul trucks, dozers, loaders, graders, and other mining support equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures




- Work collaboratively with other trades and departments

Qualifications:

- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Experience in heavy equipment maintenance (off-road/mining experience is considered a strong asset)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial setting
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a physically demanding workplace and adapt to varying weather conditions
