Filipino Cuisine Cook

We are seeking a Filipino Cuisine Cook with a willingness to learn and understand Filipino culture and food. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Filipino food culture and capable of preparing high‑quality meals consistently in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a full range of Filipino dishes, including but not limited to: adobo, sinigang, kare‑kare, pancit, lumpia, lechon-style dishes, and regional specialties.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to authentic Filipino recipes, flavor profiles, and presentation standards.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, plating, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Monitor ingredient quality, freshness, and inventory levels; assist with ordering supplies when needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards required in Alberta.
- Collaborate with management to develop or refine menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes.
- Adapt recipes when necessary to meet dietary restrictions or customer preferences while preserving authenticity.

Qualifications

- Knife skills, cooking methods, food prep and time management.




- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain one in Alberta).
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift, stand, and perform kitchen duties for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

- Experience creating or refining Filipino menus.
- Knowledge of sourcing Filipino ingredients locally or through specialty suppliers.
- Familiarity with both traditional and modern Filipino cooking styles.
