Job SummaryLoader Operator – Civil Construction

Fontaine Site Services Inc. is looking for an experienced Loader Operator to join our civil construction team.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating loaders in active civil construction environments and understands how to work efficiently around excavators, pipe crews, trucks, grades, and other equipment.

Responsibilities

- Operate wheel loaders safely and efficiently on civil construction projects
- Load dump trucks and move aggregates, native material, topsoil, and other materials
- Feed excavators and pipe crews with bedding, backfill, and road-base materials
- Perform backfilling, rough grading, stockpiling, and site cleanup
- Maintain haul roads and work areas
- Work safely around underground utilities, excavations, workers, and other equipment
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Identify and report equipment issues before they become major problems
- Follow direction from foremen and superintendents while also being able to work independently

Requirements

- Previous loader operating experience in civil construction is required
- Experience with underground utilities, roadworks, excavation, and site servicing is strongly preferred
- Able to load trucks efficiently and consistently
- Good understanding of grades,



aggregates, trench backfill, and civil construction operations
- Comfortable working in tight areas around workers and other equipment
- Strong awareness of equipment and site safety
- Reliable and able to work full-time
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Experience operating CAT, John Deere Volvo or similar wheel loaders is an asset.

We are looking for an experienced operator. The right person understands the job happening around them, communicates with the crew, takes care of the equipment, and knows how to keep production moving safely.

Fontaine Site Services works on a variety of civil projects throughout the Lower Mainland and Sea-to-Sky corridor, including underground utilities, excavation, roadworks, site servicing, and large civil construction projects.

Telehandler ticket/experience an asset.

Competitive wages based on experience.
