Role Overview
The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining all areas of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The operator is required to keep all systems of the wastewater treatment system at peak efficiency to achieve both plant operating and effluent discharge objectives.
This role requires membership in the Teamsters Union, Local 213.
Compensation

- The position rate of pay is $32.14 per hour.
- Additional shift premiums ($0.65 - $.70 per hour)

Hours of Work
All applicants will be required to follow the shifts outlined below which rotate every 2 weeks:
Week 1 & 2: Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00AM -2:30PM
Week 3 & 4: Night Shift – Monday to Friday, 2:30PM-10:30PM
Week 5 & 6: Afternoon Shift - Monday to Friday, 10:30pm – 6:00AM
What you’ll bring

- Knowledgeable in pH control, neutralization procedures, and the principles governing clarifiers.




- An understanding of high-speed rotating machinery.
- Capable of handling high-tech equipment and understanding computer interfaces.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in preparing documents and maintaining logs with strong communication skills.
- Ability to react well to crisis situations while maintaining plant operations and meeting discharge permits.
