Florist / Floral Designer

Full-Time & Part-Time

Aleph Floral Boutique is looking for a talented, reliable, and experienced Florist / Floral Designer to join our team.

We are currently considering both Full-Time and Part-Time candidates. Hours and shifts will be determined based on experience, availability, performance, and the needs of the shop.

We are looking for someone who has real hands-on floral experience and is comfortable being involved in all aspects of running a busy flower shop, not only floral design.

Responsibilities

- Design and create hand-tied bouquets, vase arrangements, flower boxes, and custom floral designs
- Prepare arrangements for birthdays, anniversaries, sympathy, weddings, events, corporate orders, and other occasions
- Process, condition, cut, clean, and care for fresh flowers
- Maintain flowers and plants and ensure products remain fresh and beautifully presented
- Assist walk-in customers and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Take phone and in-store orders accurately
- Operate the POS system and process payments
- Prepare and package orders for pickup and delivery
- Receive, process, and organize flower and supply deliveries
- Monitor and organize floral inventory and supplies
- Clean buckets, vases, tools, counters, coolers, floors, and work areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually presentable shop throughout the day
- Open and/or close the store when scheduled
- Assist with weddings, events, corporate orders, installations, and seasonal periods when required
- Perform other day-to-day tasks required to keep the flower shop operating smoothly

What We’re Looking For

- Previous professional florist or flower shop experience
- Ability to confidently create bouquets and arrangements independently




- Good knowledge of fresh flowers, flower care, processing, and conditioning
- Strong eye for colour, texture, composition, and contemporary floral design
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and organized
- Friendly and confident communicating with customers
- Comfortable working independently when required
- Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with cleaning and all hands-on aspects of working in a flower shop
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift/move flower buckets, boxes, and supplies
- Willing to learn and follow Aleph Floral’s design style and quality standards
- Flexible availability, including some weekends and major floral holidays

Experience

Previous hands-on professional floral experience is strongly preferred.

Applicants with flower shop experience will be given priority.

Position Details

Job Types: Full-Time, Part-Time

Pay: $18.25–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level

Location: Downtown Vancouver, BC – Robson Street

Work setting: In person

Scheduling will be based on availability, experience, performance, and store needs.
