Reporting to the Transportation Coordinator, the Class 1 Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient hauling of gravel, asphalt, and equipment to project sites throughout Nisku and surrounding areas. This role supports daily operations by ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining high safety standards, and representing the Equipment team with strong professionalism and customer service. The role involves largely local haul work with occasional out-of-town operational needs require.

What is the role?

- Hauling heavy equipment, including loading and unloading machinery such as graders, skid steers, and similar construction equipment
- Experience working with oversize loads, ensuring proper permits, safety protocols, and secure transport
- Perform preventive maintenance including brake adjustments
- Carry out minor maintenance and inspection for equipment and report deficiencies.
- Operate assigned unit in a safe and effective manner, carry out assigned duties
- Load, transport and unload goods and materials according to known transportation best practices and as per legislative guidelines
- Ensure vehicles and axle weights meet regulatory requirements
- Winch experience is considered as asset




- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Other duties as assigned

What do we value?

- Must have Class 1 Driver's License with Air Brakes Endorsement
- Must have 2-3 years Class 1 driving experience
- Experience Hauling Heavy Equipment is a must
- Be Technology Savvy. Previous experience with ELD
- Must be able to work independently and demonstrate a robust customer service focus
- Pass NSC Drivers Evaluation test
- Prior experience operating winch tractors is an asset
