ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and managing the workflow of the production floor by organizing and assigning the responsibilities of employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
- Diagnose and repair injection moulding machines as required
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources
- Oversee employees by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques
- Check production output according to specifications
- Identify issues in efficiency and implement improvements
- Problem solving of manufacturing and tooling related issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

- High School Diploma required; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field is an asset




- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of injection moulding processing
- Knowledge of automotive industry core tools such as control plans is an asset
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools such as 5S and value stream mapping is an asset
- Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Strong skills in MS Office
- Organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in a unionized, manufacturing or injection moulding environment is a strong asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
