Position: Maintenance & Reliability Planner
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
SALARY: $65,000 - $75,000 annually
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent | Full-Time
LOCATION: Charlottetown, PEI

The Opportunity
The Maintenance & Reliability Planner plays a key role in ensuring day-to-day maintenance activities are well planned, organized, and supported with the right resources. This position supports maintenance planning, daily maintenance coordination, spare parts management, preventative maintenance planning, operational reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
This role works closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and external vendors to ensure equipment and systems remain safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.
What Success Looks Like
- Preventative maintenance schedules are well organized and consistently executed
- Equipment downtime is minimized through proactive planning and reliability initiatives
- Maintenance records and inventory are accurately maintained within the CMMS system
- Maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company standards
· Spare parts, consumables, and required maintenance resources are planned, coordinated, and available when needed
- Cross-functional collaboration between maintenance and operations teams is effective and proactive
- Opportunities for process improvement and equipment reliability are identified and implemented
Key Responsibilities
· Create, maintain, and manage preventative maintenance schedules and planned maintenance work within the CMMS system
· Plan, coordinate, and prioritize day-to-day maintenance activities with maintenance technicians, operations, and engineering teams
· Coordinate spare parts, consumables, and maintenance resources to support planned work and urgent maintenance needs
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify recurring issues and reliability trends
- Recommend and implement solutions to improve equipment uptime and operational efficiency
- Support initiatives aimed at extending equipment lifespan and reducing maintenance costs
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, SOPs, and industry standards
- Track and maintain inventory levels for spare parts and maintenance-related materials
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports related to equipment performance and reliability
· Work with vendors and suppliers to procure tools, equipment, spare parts, consumables, and external services
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to maintenance operations
- Perform additional maintenance-related duties as required

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with maintenance planning, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability processes
- Experience using CMMS systems preferred
- Red Seal certification in a related trade and/or engineering experience would be considered strong assets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Stoop, reach, kneel, and crouch
- Lift 50 lbs or more as required
