Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen staff to join our team. The staff will work together in meal preparation and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties: Prepare and serve nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for children. Follow approved menus and assist with menu planning and seasonal updates. Ensure compliance with Canada’s Food Guide and Alberta Health Services food handling requirement. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and food storage areas. Wash dishes and sanitize kitchen equipment and work surfaces. Monitor food inventory and order supplies. Safely store food and maintain accurate temperature logs where required. Accommodate food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special nutritional needs. Pick up and properly store food deliveries. Work independently while meeting meal service schedules. Assist with other kitchen-related duties as assigned.
Previous experience in a kitchen setting or food industry is preferred but willing to train.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, daycare, school, camp, or childcare setting. (Preferred/required). Food Safety Certification (Required)- Standard First Aid and CPR certification. (Required)-Knowledge of Canada’s Food Guide and child nutrition (Preferred)-Early Childhood Education level 1 (Preferred)-Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to pick up groceries (Required)
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
