About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a 310S Automotive Service Technician to join a well-established and growing automotive repair facility in Scarborough, Ontario.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced 310S Licensed Technician looking for a stable, long-term position with competitive earning potential.

4th Year Automotive Apprentices are also encouraged to apply. If you are a registered 4th-year apprentice with robust hands-on experience and are working toward completing your 310S certification, this opportunity can provide valuable experience and exposure while working alongside experienced technicians.

The facility services a diverse range of vehicles, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, fleet vehicles, and performance vehicles. With a strong and consistent workload, modern diagnostic equipment, and a professional shop environment, this is an opportunity to build a long-term career while continuing to develop your technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive mechanical and electrical concerns.
- Perform vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, and manufacturer-recommended services.
- Diagnose drivability, starting, charging,



and electrical concerns using up-to-date scan tools.
- Perform brake, suspension, steering, exhaust, and general mechanical repairs.
- Complete engine and component diagnostics and repairs.
- Repair and replace exhaust components, including mufflers, catalytic converters, and exhaust systems.
- Perform exhaust-related fabrication and installation when required.
- Conduct wheel alignments and related suspension repairs.
- Complete repair orders accurately and maintain proper service documentation.
- Road-test vehicles before and after repairs when required.
- Identify additional repair and maintenance requirements.
- Communicate technical findings and repair recommendations clearly with Service Advisors and management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and shop staff.

For 4th-Year Apprentices

Registered 4th-year apprentices are welcome to apply. You will have the opportunity to:

- Work alongside experienced 310S Licensed Technicians.
- Gain additional hands-on experience across different types of repairs.
- Develop your diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Work with up-to-date diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Continue building the technical skills required to complete your apprenticeship.
- Gain experience in a busy, professional automotive repair environment.

Qualifications

310S Licensed Automotive Service Technician

- Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician Licence.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience in an automotive dealership, independent repair facility, fleet operation, or similar environment.




- Comfortable diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle systems.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence.
- Own professional automotive tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

4th Year Automotive Apprentice

- Registered 4th Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice with Skilled Trades Ontario.
- Strong hands-on automotive repair experience.
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Previous experience working under the supervision of Licensed Technicians.
- Own basic automotive tools.
- Valid G2 or G Driver's Licence is an asset.
- Motivated to complete the apprenticeship and obtain the 310S licence.

Experience & Skills

Experience in any of the following is an asset:

- Automotive diagnostics and electrical repairs
- Engine, brake, suspension, and steering repairs
- Preventative maintenance and drivability
- Fleet vehicle servicing
- Exhaust repair and fabrication
- Domestic, Asian, or European vehicles
- Dealership or independent shop experience
- Performance or specialty vehicles

Technicians with diverse automotive experience are encouraged to apply.
