COMMUNITY PHARMACIST (FULL TIME)

Ty's Pharmacy, owned by Tyrel and Aubrey Thorpe, is Langenburg's only locally owned and operated pharmacy. Since opening in 2019, we’ve become a trusted healthcare partner, working closely with the local health care complex, long-term care home, home care program, veterinary clinic, and residents throughout the community.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your clinical community pharmacist duties will include but are not limited to:

- Working collaboratively with patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
- Conducting health screening and immunization clinics
- Engaging in community outreach programs




- Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards
- Servicing local long-term care residents and working closely with local home care professionals
- Applying full scope of practice as a clinical pharmacist in Saskatchewan
- Patient counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication
- Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy
- Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products
- Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of medications
- Maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
- Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals.

REQUIREMENTS:

- A licensed Pharmacist and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP)
- Strong sense of professionalism and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Superior patient and physician relation skills
- Injection Certification
- Excellent leadership and performance management skills an asset
- Additional accreditation such as a CDE or a Geriatric Pharmacist an asset
- Experience with PacMed, Kroll, Microsoft Office,



WorkFlow and/or MedMe are considered an asset

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:

- Hourly rate range - $55 to $65/hour (negotiable and based on experience)

HOURS & SCHEDULE:

- Full Time, up to 40 hours per week
- OPEN: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:00 pm
- CLOSED: Saturday & Sunday
- Limited on-call hours to service our long-term care home
